Secondary battery materials

A secondary battery consists of four components: cathode material, anode material, electrolyte, and separator.
Lithium (Li) ions move between the cathode (+) and anode (-) to generate electricity to power smartphones, home appliances, and more.
The battery can be reused by charging in the form of traveling from the cathode via the separator to the anode.

LiOH, Lithium Hydroxide

The materials used to make secondary batteries are lithium carbonate and lithium hydroxide.
Lithium carbonate is used in batteries for small electronic devices, such as laptops and tech products, while lithium hydroxide is used in high-density, high-capacity batteries, for example, in electric vehicles.
Lithium hydroxide is easy to synthesize with nickel, a key material in battery cathode materials, making it ideal for electric vehicle batteries.
