POSCO Lithium Solution was established by POSCO Holdings in December 2022 in Gwangyang to produce lithium hydroxide, a key raw material for cathode materials that are used in high-performance secondary batteries.

We plan to commence the construction of the production plant from June 2023, followed by commissioning and completion in August 2025 to begin production of lithium hydroxide, with comprehensive completion scheduled for March 2026.

By 2025, we will also complete the production system with an annual capacity of 25,000 tons to take the lead in revitalizing the secondary battery materials business and creating the cluster.
